"I want to make music with Phoebe Bridgers that's like sex for ears" - Interview with NATAVIA

MC: One of my followers told me about you - how does it feel knowing your music is reaching more and more people?

NATAVIA: That makes me so happy that my music is reaching more and more people. I've been making music for five years now, I never received any attention until I found my sound, that's also when I started to not care about what people thought, I'm literally just doing my own thing now.

As a newer artist, what are some of your near future goals?

As a newer artist my near future goal would just be for my fan base to continue to grow every single day.

What about your long term goals?

My long term goals would be to hopefully be able to make a living off making music, to continue to grow and make new never heard before stuff.

Who inspired you to start making music?

The person that inspired me to start making music was actually Rihanna, when I was seven of eight I saw how she was doing her own thing and taking over the world, I was so inspired I learn all her songs and then eventually tried to make my own, it wasn't good at first but as I got older I got better at expressing my feelings.

What artist would you say your music is similar to?

Me personally I try not to compare myself to other artists, because I see how amazing other artists are and I'm like "wow I wishI was that good" even though I know I'm god. I've heard a lot of my fans say I sound like Clairo, someone even said Lana Del Rey - I find that hard to believe though because I could never.

When making music what is your usual process?

When making music I usually just play around with chords on my guitar or mess around with loops.

How do you come up with ideas for songs?

I try to explore different ideas, usually the music I create inspires the lyrics. sometimes I replay a beat for over an hour to get the right lyrics.

What's the kind of audience you want listening to your music?

The kind of audience I want listening to my music are the kind that aren't afraid of change or growth.

Can you describe your music in just a sentence?

The kind of music you vibe to.

I like to end on a fun one; if you could collaborate with anyone in the world who would it be and why?

Phoebe Bridgers, she's so incredible, she's my actual hero right now. Part of me wants to be part of her newly found record label saddest factory records and another part of me wants to make music with her that is also like sex but for the ears.
